eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. Quantum computing is a new computing paradigm rapidly approaching commercial viability. Our unique approach combines laser-cooled trapped ions with microwave control and tailored magnetic fields. Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future.

We are looking for an IT Manager (f/m/d).

Responsibilities:

As an IT Manager, you will take ownership of our internal IT landscape – overseeing infrastructure, ensuring system security, and supporting teams across our two locations. Depending on your level of experience, you will work on one or more of the following tasks: 

  • Oversee and improve our IT infrastructure – networks, servers, VPNs, firewalls, and Microsoft 365

  • Implement and maintain strong IT security measures (patching, 2FA, encryption, endpoint protection) and GDPR compliance

  • Coordinate IT support across two company locations, ensuring seamless operations for on-site and remote teams

  • Manage specialized software (e.g. COMSOL, SolidWorks PDM) and license servers

  • Handle IT-related onboarding/offboarding including asset management, device setup and access control

  • Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades with external partners to ensure systems stay scalable and reliable

Required Skills:

  • Solid experience in IT operations and Microsoft 365 administration

  • Strong understanding of security, networks, and compliance

  • Hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking – you enjoy solving problems and planning ahead

  • Experience leading IT projects or initiatives

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Experience growing IT systems in a tech or engineering environment (startup or mid-sized company) is a plus
